Soil sampling
A sampling grid scheme defines the locations for excavating soil digs in the field. Disturbed soil samples are collected by auger for soil profile description and classification. Shovels and hacks are necessary tools to start the soil excavation up to one meter depth. Hammering a top ring placed over the steel rings (8 cm high, 7 cm of diameter) allows to insert them into the soil. The disturbed soil samples are then extracted and preserved into plastic bags by preventing evaporation loss.
